Refrigerator issues

I've got an 89' Airstream Excella 25 with refrigerator issues. The refrigerator works fine on 120volt and the freezer works fine on LP gas, however, the main storage area does not cool at all on LP gas. Had the unit into a service center and they were stumped. Pressure has been checked, venting, flame all good. Cooling unit seems to work fine, does anybody out there have a clue as to what the problem might be? Thanks so much for any ideas. Model is Dometic 2601.

Two things.......did you clean the apeture on the burner? Yes, the flame may look good but did you clean that apeture.....IT IS EASY TO DO>>>>Yes, the freezer will get cold and freeze but not COLD with the main compartment NOT getting cold at all.

The line coming off the coil up at the top going down to the main compartment could possibly be "plugged". Try tapping....not beating or abusing....tapping on it along its length.....

Maybe some ventilation also in the form of an additional fan??????

I know from experience this summer in the heat for 6 weeks in Tex, Ok, NM, Utah, and Colo that these little things sure got rid of the exact same problems.....Ended up having to clean the apeture like 3 times.....I must have crud in my gas lines or something.......Anyway...works for me.....God bless.......Dennis

Try The Service Manual

This link will take you to the Dometic Service Manual which has a trouble shooting flow chart to assist you in determining the issue.

The burner and oriface "MUST" be cleaned every 2 to 3 years, for best cooling.

Also, check the LPG presuure to make sure it's at 12" of water column pressure, but no more than 13".

If that service center was stumped, I think you need to find a different one.
