Question Refrigerant

I have a Vintage '77 Armstrong AC unit, runs but does not cool? What type of refrigerant? R12 or R22??? Need to get it charged while it's warm

Checked the refrigerant in the AC, it needed a charge. Works great now!

Good timing too, temps in the 90's!

Who charges AC units on Airstreams? My compressor is failing but I'd hope a top up would at least buy a little time
