'92 25' Excella - Dometic R2604 refrig. In the back there is a gauge that shows how many inches of pressure (supposedly). The little tag next to it shows that there should be 11 inches. Mine shows 9.5. Is this within tolerances? Last trip the refrig did well in the Sequoias dry camping, but it did get to the 40's at night and around the 80's during the day. However we are embarking on a trip to Yellowstone and I know the trip there will be hotter at places. Anything to be concerned about? I have replaced the regulator within a year.

9.5 should be ok, but it may be able to be adjusted, depending on the regulator design. They just set a new propane tank at my house and adjusted the regulator to 10.5. It was 13 "out of the box". Better to have a lower propane pressure than a higher one.

If you download this manual (.pdf file) for your refrig. You should find the answers to your question. Additionally, you'll wanta keep it for future references. Maybe print it or, save it to a folder on your harddrive.

Well, I had a little brain problem there. It is actually a R3604, although that probably doesn't make a difference. Thanks for the responses. I will check them out.

Another dumb question, but I don't want to blow myself up <g>. I have an auto switchover regulator (replaced about 1 year ago) so where do I adjust the pressure? Where to start looking?
