Refer got too cold

After a summer of reading all the horror stories of warm refrigerators, I have to say I had no problems. {this is probably going to jinx it}. Yesterday I opened the door on the refer and found 2 exploded diet cola cans and slushy soda all over. I had it on the coldest setting but I guess the weather has cooled a bit. Sal.

There is a tendency in the summer to keep selecting lower settings when the fridge is having a hard time keeping up with high temperatures. Then, when it gets cool and the fridge can overcome the ambient temperature, things freeze. It happened to me years ago on my first trailer.

I'm super careful since I keep insulin in the fridge and it can not be allowed to freeze.

Thats what the freezer is for right?
Yes, I had the same with the eggs in the fridge after I installed the cooler fans.
Have you got an external temp. monitor?
I am now running the fridge on the lowest setting now that the heat of summer has passed and it seems to stay in the 36* range.

The old "two flame height" refrigerators without electronic ignition tended to do that fairly often. When it is cool out even the low flame (bypass setting) was too much and the refrigerator keeps cooling below freezing in the refrigerator compartment. It does not happen as much with the newer electronic ignition units, but I recently cleaned out a small newer Domidic with 6 cans of exploded diet soda inside. A real mess. I think that one had a thermostat issue of some kind.
