Really neat fridge door 1963 World map

Tell me what you know about this door, It is in my newest aquisition a one family owned 1963 Tradewind in super original condition.

De l'Isle's important Americas map updated by Dezauche to take into account the discoveries and voyages of Captain Cook. The map shows Cook's and many other explorers' routes in the South Atlantic and throughout the Pacific. Greenland is shown as part of the North American mainland, Alaska has a defined, if rudimen-tary, coastline, and Louisiana dominates North America, squeezing the English and Spanish territories on either side of it.

They want $660 for the original but I doubt if that is what is on the door. Is it paper, engraved plastic, painted? Probably someone that traveled and liked the original, thought it was a neat decoration.

I believe that it was a treatment that Airstream did in the 60's to the trailers with the international package. Since you were going to be traveling internationally, it was important to have a map
