Novakool refrigerator

Has anyone had any experience with the Novakool refrig? It's a 12v only (the model R4500; 4.3cu.ft.; uses240 watt hrs/day on a 70 degree day) Is that a lot? I read about them on Phred's website. They cost $670 +$75 shipping. Also, for one or two people, is that considered very big?

Well, at 12 volts, that's....

...20 amp-hours. Or, somewhat less than an amp, on a 24-hour basis.
