A friend of mine owns a 23' SOB with a Norcold mdl. 6052 2 way refrigerator. He started having problems with the Auto-Off-Elec switch on the eyebrow board at the top of the refrigerator. It was hard to move the switch into the electrical mode (Auto) last week when he went camping. Yesterday, he had even a harder time moving it into the electrical mode and now the light indicating Auto operation is not lit nor is it working on 110 volt AC. It will work fine on gas. Since he was physically having a problem with the switch going into the Auto mode, can we assume that the switch is bad and the eyebrow board (Norcold's terminology) has to be replaced? If so, can you recommend someone cheaper than CW at $109 a pop? Also, how is the eyebrow board removed from the top of the refrigerator panel? Any help would be appreciated because he is looking at $300 for parts and labor according to him and he isn't keen on spending that much.
