Norcold

Hi All,
I have recently bought and imported a 1960 Avion H24, yes i know is its not an Airstream, i've still got my 73 overlander though. i will restore the Avion to near as original as i can, I hooked up the Norcold fridge to 110v, model 624 i think, inside light works, and there is power upto the to part where the element plugs in, well i think it is the element, it says on it 120v / 250w about 2ft long metal construction, and goes into a pipe down to where the cooling/absorbtion pipes are, is there any way of testing this part ? and where if possible can i get a replacement element.
many thanks
Tim
