I'm ready to move on to the appliances, and I'm looking for a fridge for our Globie. Like a dope, I tossed ours when I bought the trailer, it wasn't original but was ok. (The whole floor was shot and the fridge seemed a little, not too bad, but gross) I'd like to replace it with a similar Dometic unit, to fit in the original opening- it was enlarged a bit for the later fridge, but about the same size. I don't mind a smaller one either. SO, if anyone has any kind of recommendation for sources, or one lying around, let me know. I found a place in Vallejo which rebuilds RV fridges, gasrefrigeration.net, and wondered if anyone had experience with them.

Call Palomino Parts department, they sell new dometics from their RV production lines for way less than what you get from say camping world. I got a 10 gallon suburban 110/gas water heater, 22" range and a 110/gas refer for our 69 from them, including shipping for less than camping world wanted for the refer only before tax.

So, the place in MI isn't any less expensive than buying it in Santa Rosa and dragging the thing home in the back of my Honda Fit. My partner is so smitten with the AS that he's going along with the new Dometic... Christmas is coming! I downloaded the installation instructions for the thing, and except for perhaps undersized 12v wires to replace, it should just fit right in. Now, to find a good place to get it
