keeping fridge cold

Because my driveway is a such an angle, I can't level my motorhome without a lot of blocking etc. Because of this, I can't start the fridge the day before we leave so things will stay cool. To solve this, I buy 10# of dry ice and put some in the fridge and some in the freezer and it works for about a week even in real hot weather. The ice maker does an awesome job also on either elec. or gas. I don't know of any damage I might be doing, but if anybody out there has had a bad experience with this, let me know.

You must have been reading my mind. Could help think it as I read about the using propane while in travel threads. Didn't know where all the gas thats given off would go, and wasn't sure if it would do damage to the fridge, so I didn't mention it . ..
