Is a Dometic RM2652 OK for a 1967 Overlander?

Hi Airstreamers,

I'm in the market for a new fridge for my 1967 Overlander. As we all know, new fridges can be pretty expensive, so I was looking into gently used ones. I found a great deal on Ebay for a Dometic Model RM2652, it's 200 miles from my house. Before I drive out to see it, I wanted to hear some of your thoughts, recommendations, or experiences regarding this model fridge and installing a fridge like this in a 1967 Overlander. Does anyone have this fridge? Would this fridge work for my trailer?
Many Thanks!

The 2652 is too tall ti fit in the hole where the old fridge was. By about a foot. It os a 6 cubic foot double door fridge, you need about a 4 cubic fott single door fridge.

Thanks Overlander63 for your reply. I am totally remodeling (not restoring) the kitchen and I took out the overhead compartments. So, I have some extra space but I'm not sure if ventilation will be a problem.

Can you recommend any 4 cubic foot models?

I plan on putting that unit into my 68 Safari, the plan is to trim the vent to be short enough to fit above new unit and then cut "race car" type louvers into external door.

Which external door are you talking about?

That would be the small access door to get to the back of the refrigerator from outside.
