Ice Box

Now that I have solar power, I'm thinking of adding a small 12V/110V freezer to my tow Vehicle.

The company is called Engel and it's made in AU.

Any one ever heard of/or have any experience with this little chilly beauty!

I'm looking at the model 45.

options/ opinions?

Michael

Contact Michelle Young

Michael,

Contact Stan and Michelle Young from our HOTC group.

They have one they keep in their Semi truck and Love it.

By the way, my understanding is that Engle and Norcold / Thetford have some type of relationship - OEMd for Norcold or something like that - don't remember. Regardless, both use the same 12V compressor that are highly rated.

MRFT 40

Reference the HOTC directory for their contact info, or PM me if you need it.

It looks a lot like the ARB freezer, which is probably a rebadged Engel. I have heard good things about the ARB units for Jeep trips.

Coleman also makes a 12v cooler that you can use as a fridge. We have one "just in case".
