Do you want to start it on gas or electric?

I also would like to know the procedure. I have a 78 that I'm in the process of restoring and I'm not sure if the fridge works. It has not been used for the past 15 years. Anything that I should look out for. The fridge is so expensive to replace..

refrig

Most important that your unit be level

Refrig

Most important is that your rig (MH/Trailer) be level. If you operate the frig in an unlevel position for very much time...it causes a coating to accumulate inside the refrigerent pipes. This coating can get so built up that it shuts down the refrig all together. Believe it or not the only thing you can do then is to remove the complete refrig and turn it upside down...this is called burbing. That procedure may or may not fix the problem. If it doesn't fix you have a choice of a new refrig or to install new refrig cooling unit....both expensive.
If you are trying to operate on gas....you first turn on the gas tank supply....then you select knob to gas...then you set thermo to #4 ...pull out on the pilot knob and push in the ignitor knob until it lights.....may take several tries.
In the electric position it will work just like any refrig
Just make sure unit is level
