Frozen Milk??

Last weekend we did a little cold weather camping, now the weather man said that it was supposed to be in the thirty's but it got to 12 hey kinda close. any way the furnace did a great job heating the tt however almost everything was frozen in the fridge. i turned it way down but still frozen. looking for suggestions. Also i need advice on where to purchase a new water heater, somebody no fingers here was waiting to winterize until after the weekend did i mention that it was 12 degrees. not sure why but my water heater leaks very badly now.

Sorry

firefighter
Sorry to hear about your water heater..
May I suggest that you check out Camping World, for your replacement..Expect to spend close to 300$, give or take. Depends on brand, size and, if you install it yourself..etc
When you get around to installing the new unit, now would be the perfect time to also install the bypass kit (they're cheap)for easy winterizin the water heater and, look into a drain cock~
ciao

Thumbs up bypass kit.

firefighter water heater bypass kit

check the image on the upper right hand side..

I don't know what to say about your refrig..But, for some reason..the idea of packing more foam doesn't seem to be the proper solution. I've no doubt but, there's someone on this forum who has had this problem before..Good luck.
ciao

If your fridge has a standing pilot the only way to prevent it from freezing food when the ambient temp is that low is to turn it off.

Try www.rvcatalog.com for the water heater. I have bough two there and they have the best prices and freight is normally free.
