Fridge for a 1966 Tradewind

We have a cheap electric frig where the original used to be. Where can we find a dometic unit at a good price (new or used) to go back in our unit?

Do you mind my asking why? We are thinking about an electric fridge. Is there a problem?

Palomino parts in Michigan (269)432-3271, and see if you can't get to Jevin in parts

They are WAY CHEAP, I bought a refer, furnace, and water heater there for WAY below the prices most places charge. You have to know exactly what you want, but give them the model number and they will give you a heck of a deal.

Hey SterShreve, We just bought the exact airstream you have and also have to get a new refrigerator. What did you end up buying? and are you happy with it?

new fridge in Tradewind

I have a 66 and when we got it, the original Dometic had been replaced with a taller one. Here is a photo of the modification, it is GREAT to have this "big" fridge so you might want to think about it.

If you are interested, I will take some dead-on photos so you can see more, I just happened to have this one in my computer.

We LOVE our Tradewind, hope you do too!

Regards,

Connie

WOW that is pretty but even a new small one cost $1200. Can't imagine what that one cost new.
Thanks for sharing

HI,
I don't know about anyone else, but I would sure appreciate any other photos you could post showing this beauty. I have been torn between having a larger refri. & keeping that precious counter space in my "68" Tradewind for years. This may be the push I have needed.
