Fridge fan

Still a newbie and trying to get my AS set up. Several posts discuss the use of an external fan to blow over the fridge coils to aid in cooling. I'm trying to decide how to power same. Seems to me when the AS is in motion a fan would not be needed. If that is the case, is everyone powering their fans with 110 volts instead of 12?

Thanks

Greg

They are generally run on 12v to give the ability to use the fan when boondocking away from 110v AC. Also the cooling fans from inside derelict personal computers are available easily and cheaply or for free, and these will usually run OK on 12v DC. RV supply stores will sell you a small fan for this purpose for a few dollars, and these run on 12v DC.
Nick.
