The plastic interior part of the door contacts the fridge before the door gasket does. It's as though the door's inner plastic panel has warped or swolen. I can't even force it to shut all the way and the gasket doesn't contact the door frame. Anyone know of a fix short of a new door which I can't afford?
You can relocate the door some what by bending the hinges.
That might help to solve your door problem.
Usually what causes that problem, is ice built up within the door, and expanded it out of shape. When that happens, the warped door will not return to it's original shape.
Rarely, can a door be taken apart and fixed, but it sometimes can be done.
You might seek the help of an experienced service center.
