Freezer works on propane - but not fridge

Hi Y'all,

This is my first post - so please point me in the right direction if you have some info to share.

I have a '78 Argosy with a Dometic Fridge (Propane and Electric) and the propane cools the freezer (really cold) but does not cool the fridge. I have not checked either on shore power yet.

Might this indicated a cloged something or other that could be fixed by turning the fridge upside down? Could it be a thermostat in the fridge?

Any other information I could follow up on?

The coach has 60K original on it and it's in really good shape. The fridge does not appear to have a great deal of wear and tear (consistent with age but it's in very good shape).

Any ideas?

Sometimes the freezer plate will frost over pretty quick and you will know it is working, but the refrigerator portion will cool much slower and may actually take HOURS to catch up especially if the ambient temp is hot.
I would suggest placing a thermometer in each compartment and checking just what temps you get as a starting place.

get a thermometer, reffer style to hang in your box. adjust the middle of the box for 42 degrees. at least it cools and freezes and won't cost $5-600 to replace. jeff
