flame indicator

Is there a practical way to add a flame indicator to the refrigerator so I can see at a glance if the burner is on? An LED outiside the fridge would be nice.

This is a 70's Dometic RM66E.

Anybody done this or have any ideas?

Thanks,

I thought the 70's Dometics already had that feature. My RM60 has one, from 1972, it's the glass/plastic "crystal"-shaped thing on the lower front control panel, left side. It's hard to see the thing glow in daylight, easy in the dark. Would be surprised if yours did not have this feature.

You're right it does, but I wanted to know if there was a way to rig up an LED for a contol panel so we could see it at a glance without opening the fridge door, and as you said, the one that's there is hard to see in the daylight.

Thanks,
