Electric Refrigerator Operation 76 Argosy

My Argosy book shows me operation for electric refrigerator use. When I get to step 3, it says "Plug the electrical cord into the 120 volt outlet located in the refrigerator outside access compartment". My problem is - THERE IS NO OUTLET. There is nothing to plug into. I know this refrigerator is the one that came with the Argosy so where is the outlet? It is dark now or I would post a photograph. Have been working on my new Argosy all day and this is my only frustrating project. Any help would be appreciated.

The outlet will be in the inside of the outer wall, usually about 18 inches to 2 feet off the floor. You may have to stick your head into the fridge access door and twist around to find it. It looks like a standard household outlet.

It should be visible once you open the outside hatch behind the fridge. If it's not there, poke around and see if there is any wire in the area that isn't attached to anything. Maybe the previous owner removed the outlet box for some reason.

My 73 just had a female plug. My 71 has an outlet box. Both inside the outside access panel.
