The reefer has a spiral shaped piece of metal inserted in the flue, to retain as much heat as long as it can within the flue.
It must be removed prior to cleaning.
Using a straightened coat hanger, coil one end of it around some steel wool. Insert that steel wool into the flue from the bottom end. Push the steel wool up into the flue, back and forth several times.
When done, reinstall the spiral.
Next, the burner and burner orifice must be cleaned, to remove any and all rust flakes or powder.
You can clean them in a jewelry cleaner, or soak them for 3to 4 days in some Limeaway cleaner. Rinse well when done.
insert any needle or sharp object into the orifice to clean or clear it. Let the cleaners do the job.
That should take care of the proper cleaning of the LPG burner, orifice and flue, for you.
