Dometic RM45E burner goes out when I release the pull knob
So....Murphy's law does apply...
I have an old Dometic Model RM45E gas/electric fridge. I tested the electric and the gas before we installed the fridge a few days ago and both worked great. gas started without a hitch and ran for a whole day on the back deck...wind and all
SO we are now on our first leg of a cross Canada trip with the munchkins, and on our first stop I fired up the gas to get things cool fast without any issues, gas thermostat on 4, held pull knob for a few seconds, hit the piezo, burner fired up, held the knob for the recommended 15 sec and let go...off it went with no issues. after an hr or two I turned it off to see if the electric would maintain the coolness, did not seem to be an issue but things still weren't cooling fast enough as it was time for bed. I turned it back to gas, followed the same procedure above but NOW when I release the pull knob the burner immediately goes out.....I tried different thermostat settings and I tried turning the gas knob to a few different locations thinking that maybe the valve was sticky.....no joy, when I let go the burner dies immediately
....any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Rob
