Dometic RM3762 fridge light
Interior light burnt out. Looks like it got hot.
Checked voltage to light - 13.6 VDC with door open.
Door closed - 8 VDC!
Voltage to interior light when door is closed!?? Called Dometic and for this model yes, the light comes on from time to time when it's closed to heat it up and cause the system/refrigerant to cycle.
I had put a LED light in it yesterday as a short term fix. BAD IDEA! You need the 10 watt incandescent for the system to work. It's a light and a heater!
So if the light dies replace it ASAP and with the spec bulb. No Led on this model!
Also do not cover the light with the broccoli!
