Dometic RM2812 - is it dead?

So we've got a Dometic model RM-2812, in decent shape it appears. We are on 30A shore power, everything else works but the fridge. There is 120 at the board on the back of the unit, but the lights don't come on, no cooling, nada. I do not have a manual (but I do have the parts list), but it seems like a very simple fridge. Am I missing something? Does it need to be exactly level? I've followed the instructions on the interior label, but have not tried it on gas. The fuses were good.

Thanks,

This could be as simple as a blown fuse (12 volt) or maybe a bad circuit board. This link should help in troubleshooting the problem:

Yes, be sure it's getting 12 volts. The controls require it even when running on 120 volts.

thanks, I'll check it out properly next week. Until then, it's an igloo and bags of ice, I guess.

Not if it is the original fridge.

The thread title and first post make it clear that it is a Dometic RM 2812 which does have a control board.

Service Manual pdf attached. Hope it helps.

Thank you everyone - it's working like a champ now! I checked out the 12v on the back panel, nothing. Traced it back to an inline fuse at the battery, which was blown. Working great now - thanks again!!!

Great! That's the kind of fix we all hope for. Thanks for the update.
