Dometic Model # MB 52
We just purchased and are starting on a restoration of a 1968 Sovereign. We are looking to keep and restore instead of adding to our local landfill. That being said, we have a Dometic MB52 fridge ( product # 9260922) that works - but has a badly damaged interior of the door and freezer door. The interior of the door is literally falling apart in pieces. Can anyone point me in the direction of possibly finding replacements for these as we would prefer to keep this fridge rather than junking and replacing it?
Thank you!

Not sure if you will find a direct replacement, but don't trash the frig.many folks are always looking for parts. I just sent off an M52 to be rebuilt by the only place I could find in the USA to do it. I've heard of folks coming up with ideas to refurbish them.
Enjoy

Thank you for your reply Paul! We do want to keep this working fridge so if there is anyone out there that may have the same, but in a non-working fridge - with a decent interior to the door and to the freezer door that you would be willing to part with, please let us know!

Dometic MB62
I have a '70 Caravaner, this fridge works great on propane, have not even tried on electric power (either 12v or 110v) was told in '91 when I acquired it that it did not work on 110v (have also read on AF that on battery power it eats batteries) but it works so well on propane why bother with electric. It is worth salvaging if you can. Right now my thermocouple is out, I got on AF this AM to see if anybody knows of a replacement thermocouple (make, part no. etc) and can it be replaced without removing the fridge?

Hi There! If you are talking about the Dometic Model MB52, I am looking for the following parts. First, I am looking for a replacement for the entire interior door to the fridge. In other words, when you open the door , I am looking for what is attached to the interior of the door - only if that interior portion is in good condition without cracks. I'm not sure if this would entail purchasing the entire door - or just the interior portion of it. Please let me know what you can do.
Secondly, I am looking for the replacement hinges/springs that hold/open&close the interior freezer door. I believe I only need the hinges or springs - but again, please let me know what you can do.
Can you help with either of these?
Thank you,
Chester

Hello! I am located on the Wisconsin/Minnesota border right by St. Paul, MN. If you have a near - immaculate interior of the Dometic model MB 52 fridge, I would definitely be interestedin the fridge. I tried to attach some pics of what I am trying to replace - but it didn't work for me. My regular email is chesterdzik@hotmail.com. If you have some pics, they would be appreciated and I can send you some pics of what I am trying to replace to make sure we are on the same page. What do you have in mind for a swap? Greenville, TX is about 970 miles south of me - or about 16 hours away! However, it is 15 degrees today heading to 0 degrees tonight. It's got to be warmer there. Am I looking at a road trip?

Dometic frig
I was wondering if you of you fine people have a pic of your frig. I have a Dometic 52 EB1 type 510A short style and was trying to find where the 110 hooks up on the frig. I found one wire coming of a ceramic looking piece on the bottom. Was wondering if mine looks like yours. Thanks Jim.
