What is the model number of your refer? Which Airstream is it in?

According to Dometic Spec, any fridge temp below 42* is within the design parameters. This might not be acceptable to you, but it is in their published specifications.

Let me know what your model # is and I can give you a few things to look at that might lower the fridge temps under 40*

Make sure your AS is perfectly level. Last week in the heat our frig wasn't quite as cold as normal. We were a little off level but not any more then when we had a MH with a Norcold frig. That was enough off level not let it cool down. Good luck, let us know what you find out. We will always be on the level now!
