Dometic fridge mystery shield

ok, so it may just be a mystery to me but.......

this sheild is just hanging out on the floor. where should it be? i didn't want to just stick it somewhere to try it and short something out. does anyone have a picture as to where and positioning?

thanks again

Since my experience is with a way older Dometic, I'm not really sure. But could it be some type of dislodged baffle to shield the burner from draft?

That's what it is.

A baffle so that the wind sitting still or traveling, will not blow out the burner flame.

Everyone's correct!

The shield should be in place.......not sitting idly on the compartment floor. The curved area goes up against the boiler tube the long vertical section right above the LP burner (usually wedging right underneath it), with the boxed section shielding the air intake and LP supply tube.

There should be at least one screw hole in it to hold it in place.

Ours had two, plus a slot for another piece of another shield to slide into.

so, i've got a screw or two loose? lol

thanks again everyone! i figured the curve in the shield indicated it should go somewhere next to the tube. and also, when i took a close look at the 3 pictures i have, one shows a screw sitting in there too!

i'll put it on the list for the reunion ib December :-)
