I have a 5 yr. old Dometic two door fridge in my '86
Sovereign 25' but don't have the model # in front of me. Last Thursday night I arrived at the hunting camp where my trailer was parked, opened the LPG valves, turned the battery selector switch to on, lit my stove for a couple of minutes and then turned the fridge on. The AUTO and GAS lights lit up as well as one of the temp setting bars. I turned off the stove and thought the fridge was operational. I finished unloading my gear from the truck and was in bed 35 minutes later. I woke up at 4 a.m. the next morning to find the fridge was in the CHECK mode. I tried to light the thing 6 or 7 times waiting a minute between each attempt. No go. I went hunting that morning and attempted to light the thing again when I returned at 11 a.m. Again, no luck. I pulled the inspection plate off and had a friend turn the fridge on and no ignition/spark which I had not heard from the inside from the beginning. I then manually lit the burner, put the inspection plate back on and she did fine for the next 2 days. I turned the fridge off while getting ready to leave, waited a minute and turned it back on. It lit without problem. I tried this one more time and had no problem with ignition.
Is there a default should the CHECK light come on for a long period of time as I experienced which would not allow the fridge to operate correctly? If so, how do I reset should this occur again. I guess there was an air bubble in the line and this initially caused the problem.
