Dometic freezing main compartment

My refer unit is breaking barley refreshment bottles and other valuables. It was all frosted up so I defrosted it. Now the bird is all frozen from Thursday. Where will it all end? What can I replace prior to the unit? It is relatively new.
Cold and getting colder in Seattle.

The thermostat or thermocouple is shot or disconnected.

When one of them go, they source of heat, which causes the cooling stays wide open, telling the system to get even colder.

Hi Guys- Been there done that! Last year while traveling cross country we ran into the exact same problem. Everything was frozen. It was the first week into a three 1/2 week trip. We ended up turning the unit off during the days and on at night and that kept everthing pretty stable. We first noticed the freezing when I went to make eggs early one morning and they wouldn't crack open and then upon closer examination, the were pre-cracked but solid! On the last part of the trip we stopped at JC to say hello to friends and have the axels alligned. They immediatly started testing the ref. for us and first replaced the whole board, then replaced the coupler which was the actual cause of the freeze. Simple to do on your own but we were still under warranty. I would first unhook the coupler and reattach, if that doesn't work replace it. If that doesn't work change out the board and you will be all set.

Let us know how you make out!

replace the temp probe, located on the fins on the rear of the refer compartment, usually cliped on, white in color. If that does'nt work you have to replace the control board.
