Domestic door seals

I recently noticed my reefer door seal likes the fridge better than the door, I tried resticking it to the door with double sided tape...although all that I had was a little thick, is there something better to use, the gaskets seem to be in good condition but Im afraid i'll spring the hinges on the door with the extra thickness.

Sticking seal

Wipe some silicone on the refrigerator side to reduce sticking. Silicone is recommended for window gaskets for the same reason.

Thanks

John,

What are you? A mind reader? I just twisted the last intact knob off of my fridge in my Argosy yesterday and was fixin' to post a request for parts when I saw yours. I called the guys at the place you linked and they have what I need and will be sending it over shortly. Good prices as well. Seems the control knobs disintegrate on these old Dometics, word to the wise, don't use a pair of pliers in place of a knob!!

Dometic door seals

Does anyone know if the seals can be cut to fit or are they preshaped and continuous?

Is there a such a thing as "universal seal" that maybe you can buy from HD or an appliance store?
