looking at the Dometic page, it appears that the 2510 is the size closest to the current unit. The suggetion has been made to put a larger unit in it which would require altering the cabinets. Is this a really bad idea?

By the way, I asked airstream what the proper replacement was and they said ask Dometic . what can you do?

Rodney, yeah, the 2510, is the right sized one for that opening, if my memory serves! And that's what we'll eventually get for ours. Personally, for a one week trip with two-three people, I think that that fridge is about the right size. And besides we put beverages out in a cooler outside so we can access them while by the campfire without going in .

The pivital factor here is the height under the counter on that side and I cant go measure it without driving 8 hours each way . So guessing the counter height is the game of the moment. I want to get the largest one that will fit the space. The 2410 (there is a new number) is about 33 inches tall and the 2510 is about 40 inches. They both run about $550 or so at Palomino which is great, but I want to make sure and get the right one because $500 mistakes hurt.

When in doubt, go smaller. I have trimmed mine out and it looks great. I did this to avoid that same mistake.
I am glad to see that a lot of people are making use of Palomino. Just don't run them out of cheap fridges before I need another one!
