How do you know the fan is bad? There is a button switch connected to the fan, sits on the cooling fins of the refrigerator. If the fins are cool (below 85*F) the fan won't engage; it's not needed. I would check that first.

If the button switch is bad and won't close the circuit there's just 4 screws that hold the fan in. Disconnect the wiring and remove the screws. The fans are 12vdc and you should be able to get one locally, even at a computer store, they are similar to the fans used in some computer equipment. You can also order online. Put the new one in with the 4 screws and plug it back in. Again, it won't engage unless the button switch is closed or you use a jumper wire to bypass it.
