Bought new, received scrap

My original 20 year Dometic refrigerator died. Knowing I could replace it myself, I ordered what I thought was a new dometic model RM2820RX from the place that could get it to me the quickest which happened to be Amazon.

Received the replacement on time for my vacation, my wife helped me lift the new unit into the motorhome. Once it was inside I started to unpack the shipping wrapping. Once unwrapped I noticed some weird foil tape. Curiosity got the best of me, and I peeled back some of the tape to reveal the work "issue" in black marker.

After removing all of the foil tape I noticed the words “Scrap Line 3 9-12-11 Foaming Issues”

After sharing the pictures with Dometic they agreed to replace it under warranty.

Did you bother to contact the seller. What was his story? What is a foaming issue? Does this mean it has rabies?

Good to hear that Dometic is standing with you and behind their product.
