Stay away from United Parcel Smashers unless yuo want a jigsaw puzzle to put together. Do a search for USHIP.COM and post it there. the site is full of small shippers who will treat you right.

When we shipped our vintage fridge to CA to be rebuilt, we bolted it to a pallet and wrapped in in cardboard. We called around and found FedEX Ground to be reasonable and they picked it up...as I recall it was about $55-60 to ship each way.

If it goes on a pallet, get written confirmation that other things will NOT be stacked on it, unless you do something to you packaging to make it secure under load from other items.
