The Dometic web site has an interchange list, I believe.

Splitrock has got it. There are (were) a zillion v-e-r-y similar models over the past few years, with difficult to see differences between them.
The RM 2820 will fit in 99% of the cases, but if you want to be sure, you can find a specs page on the Dometic site that gives very exact dimensions.
Be cool!

Splitrock and Aage Got it!
For my 76' I consulted the Dometic Table and got a replacement refer that fit exactly under very close tolerances.
As a footnote, I subsequently "burped" the old refer and it worked fine. Oh well.

You can buy a rebuilt cooling unit for the RM 100. From what I understand they are not cheap or easy to install, but if you like that fridge it is possible to keep it.

Are the new fridges as good as the old ones? My RM100 still works but at some point it will die. The frame and shelves are not in great shape but it cools like mad.

IIRC, the RM100 does NOT have a "circuit board" like all the news ones do.
I count that as a plus.

Well other than the circuit board are they less reliable? I like the older ones because there is no control board to go bad every few years. I would probably go with a whole new unit when mine fails because of the general cosmetic condition is poor.

I will do everything I can to keep my RM100 running for no other reason than the avoidance of having a circuit board.
