'77 Fridge

I am trying to asses the state of the fridge in my '77 Sovereign and wasn't able to find anything exactly like my issue by searching the forums. It is the two door Dometic and I am at the moment trying to get it to run off of the electricity. I never hear anything kick on after turning it to electric and setting the thermostat to 4. I have attached a picture of the access panel behind the fridge and noticed that one of the wire connection plates is not mounted onto the plastic bracket. I am curious if this has anything to do with the issue or is only for the gas operation? I believe it should go to the open stop on the right edge. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Ammonia absorption fridges are silent on both electric and gas. The only way to determine if it works is to leave it on for a few hours and see if it gets cold on the bottom of the freezer.

There is an electric heating element, somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 to 200 watts. Make sure there is 120 volt AC power to the refer. It should be plugged into a standard outlet. Select the electric mode and set the thermostat (electric) to 5. The refer must be level in both directions to work properly.
If you post a photo of a larger area of the back side perhaps I can help you locate the heating element and assist in determining if it works.

The fridge is working great now after giving it enough time to cool off. Thanks for all of the info.
