'72 Tradewind fridge vent question...

Can someone tell me what size of opening you have on the floor of your camper, under the fridge, against the outside wall, for vent purpose.
Ours is about 20" x 2.75" Husband seems to think that might be smaller that it should be.

20" x 2.75" is 55 square inches of vent area, which is plenty for a fridge.

Mine is certainly no larger than that. A convection is created drawing cool air from the opening in the floor and vented out the vent at the top. I'm still running the original fridge with no problems whatsoever.

Lucky you on your original fridge. We are trying everything to save ours. Arrgghhhh...
It looks like we might be loosing the battle.
How long does it take for you to get everything cool inside of your fridge?
Previous owner replaced the cooling unit.. we have removed and cleaned all the other parts, burped ,bought new correct size baffle. Not sure if we should get new electric/gas - stats or just throw in the towel...
We are not sure what else to try. I bet if it wasn't 90° plus same in humidity yesterday, we would not be so grumpy today. ha

We will accept any other ideas from anyone.. (well, almost everyone)!

If you do need to replace it, PPL in Houston had the best price I could find on a Dometic that would fit the existing opening.
