'64 Globetrotter, need a fridge vent

Hi, we have a globetrotter and need the refrigerator scoop. Anybody know where we can find a good used one? I have only found them new and they are expensive. Would like to save a little money. Thanks in advance!

The interior vent formed plastic that curves up the wall, or the exterior vent that's aluminum and sits on the roof?

It's the vent on the inside. I think they call it a scoop?

You could try colaws or another rv salvage place, or post a wanted ad in the forum classifieds. The only new ones that I know of are not made to the original size of the '64 vents and are way too expensive for something that doesn't even fit without modifying it extensively. As an alternative you could fabricate one from aluminum sheet and rivets if you have a little metal working experience. Mine is crumbling at the edges and I plan on fixing it with a new layer of fiberglass along the edges where the rivets go.
I hope this is helpful. Have a merry christmas

Mine was in poor condition too and I didn't want to spend the $330 dollars for a new one. I removed it, bought a fiberglass repair kit and used car bond to help re-shape and cover a lot of the damage. Almost every rivet hole was split or torn away. Spent about $50.00 in materials and about 6 hours labor (I'm a rookie at both fiberglass repair and bondo) and I now have a unit that should last a few more years.

To some, nothing ever fits.

The scoops are oversized, so you can cut it to fit.
