Stream Lady...

Yup...I had the same problem when I had a '77...

The way to fix it, ya gotta take apart the door, all the way down to the interior panel that is full of foam. The problem is the foam has expanded and swollen the plastic so it doesn't fit into the fridge opening.

From the foam side, cut slots thru the foam all the way to the back side of the plastic and remove some of the foam...

THEN...

Fill the slots with glue, place some thin cardboard inside the fridge opening and shove the door into the opening...this will resize the door parts...once the glue is dry, reassemble the door and test fit using a dollar bill to assure the gasket is sealing all the way around!

I saw this on a web page that is no longer around...
