1960 Dometic Refrigerator

I recently acquired a 1961 24' Tradewind. I am gutting it.

It has what I have to assume to be the original dometic refrigerator and stove, both of which are in rough shape to say the least.

Forgive the potential idiocy of this question as I am new....

what value do these items have if any? Where/how would a newbie sell these without getting ripped off?

Welcome to Airforums! The value may depend on if the refrigerator & stove/oven are working.

Not real sure how you could get ripped-off? They are of no value to you, only to someone that is either looking for parts or a unit to restore. Anything you get is a bonus! Just because they are old, not many around, does not mean they have a bunch of value. I will be the first to say, don't throw them out, many folks are looking for parts, but don't expect to get rich either.

It's all about karma. My guess, going forward you will need help from those on the forums looking for "free" advice on how to fix something. Since you have no need for them, think about paying it forward.

I've known many on the forums that have helped many of folks, they are the ones who "if looking for something" are the first to have people say, "I've got one, I'll send it to you, no charge".

Being that was only your second post to the forums, you still have many a question to go.

Karma my friend, Karma,

My guess is there will be interest. This model has sold previously on airstream classifieds. If you can't sell the entire fridge, I'd be willing to buy the internal shelves, etc. Let me know if interested.
