1975 23' Safari - What is this?

Hi! We just acquired our first Airstream. A '75 23' Safari. While going through the cabinets over the refrigerator we have these metal rods mounted in the cabinet. Can anyone tell us what their purpose was? or are they something the PO may have added?

Thanks,

Tom

They're for hanging your dish towels. At least that's what I use them for!

The only thing I found that little cabinet good for was storing my bottles of liquor

Dish towels, added bonus is that the fridge vent runs up behind it. The heat from that will help dry them out if they are damp.
