Vinyl wallpaper in bathroom

Hello! Longtime lurker here, my husband and I have been reading up on all the incredibly helpful information on here.

Thank you all for many things we have already learned regarding our 1969 Safari.

We have had it just over a month and it's in fantastic condition apart from a few leaks and dings.

I'm hoping someone has some advice for us regarding the vinyl wallpaper in the shower-it's come away and needs replacing.

I was going to try and just take it off/paint with primer and make watertight.
Basically I'm scared of taking int off and making a mess of it all. Is there a wallpaper that could go on straight after taking this off? Any and all advice is extremely helpful!

I have the same problem.
For now, I do not want to make big work for that.
I use my Airstream.


Waiting, I take off everything that comes off.


Because I do not want moisture under the paper.


For after. I'm thinking of painting.
