Trailer weight

Need some help trying to figure out the correct weight of our 1971 23' Safari. The plate on the front of the trailer says 5,800 pounds. When I look up the weight on the Airstream site, it says 3530. Which is correct.

You probably are seeing the weight of the trailer at maximum load capacity on the plate, sometimes referred as GVW (gross vehicle weight).

Dan,
For some reason they did not include the GVWR on the list at their website only the empty weight so the 3530 is your emty weight and 5800 is your GVWR which sounds about right.
