zion in december

We will be in phoenix on thanksgiving. We have about 10 days free after. wondering about trying zion park in utah. I have not been there before and was wondering about the typical weather. Too cold that time of year? snow?
How about the drive from phoenix? We will be towing our new to us 28ft ccd.3/4 ton 4x4 dodge diesel
saw the zion river rv park looked pretty nice. Anybody stay there before?

Zion is open during the year, Bryce is closed. I think it will be lovely. A nice restaurant the painted pony ( ?) very nice and great food.

Hello - We went to Zion several yrs ago & stayed at the Zion River Resort. It was very nice (altho when we stayed the pool was closed) We were given a space backing up to the river & we were the smallest trailer in the park, but all was quiet, peaceful & clean. If you want to see a few pics of Zion (& even one of our space at the resort) you can go to my pics. We spent time at the sand dunes down there also. Rented an ATV in St. George, Utah & spent the day at the dunes. Was much fun, our 2 boys loved it! We were there during Spring Break, so cant say much about weather in winter. I'm pretty sure it can snow there, but from the latest weather report here in Colorado, I havent heard of anything bad on the way before Thanksgiving. I have my sister & brother in law headed this way starting tomorrow from CA. going thru St. George in small car & they didnt hear any bad weather reports either. Hope you have a great time!!!
