Hi
You could take a nap to the gentle sound of rain on the aluminum roof and thunder booming away .... . Looks like Tuesday's rain got here on Monday.
Back to my beer .... burp ....

Had a nice drive up from Grand Teton through the south side of the park.

And keep in mind the drops of "golden sunshine" you may get the next few days is just the NW way of rinsing the dust of summer off your shoulders to allow you to think more clearly. So enjoy it and have a good rain coat with a hood. Umbrellas are for wimps I have learned since moving here (except from my house to the shop where my truck lives...........)

pcskier (Peter) took this great video of us towing down Morman Row right before the Molten Barn.
We spent today in the Norris basin and Canyon areas.
Tomorrow... Old Faithful!

We are short the bear. We are looking hard for one. But so far no joy.
Saw Beehive Geyser erupt today at the same time Old Faithful went. That was pretty cool.

Ronnie,
If you guys have seen wolves, that's bonus points.
And yes, a Grizzly, would be additional bonus points.
I've been to Yellowstone NP numerous times and have not seen a Grizzly. But, have seen wolves on several occasions over in the Lamar Valley.
But, I have seen Grizzles multiple times in and around Glacier NP. Several times closer than I like.
A black bear in YNP---ho hum. No bonus points.
Cheers,
Bryan

Hi
I believe we did indeed see a Bear today, it had a cub with it. Most certainly saw Elk, Bison and Deer. I did not stop in the middle of the road to take pictures of the ducks
Mostly we spent about 4 hours stuck in traffic . That's not a knock on the park, somebody got in a wreck up in front of us. Those things never are easy to clear on small / narrow roads.

Hahaha! Using an iPad for a camera!
I’m up for meeting for dinner or a campfire after or whatever. I’m planning on entering the park before light tomorrow before the masses, so I’ll be done earlier in the day.

Hi
Dinner sounds like a good idea to me. I was going to try to drop by today. The traffic snarls killed that idea. Our only constraint is needing to get the dog settled down before we head out to eat.

I’m 10 miles north of town, give me a time and place and I’m there. I’m not picky. Parley will likely come with and snooze in the car. And when I ask the waiter or waitress what’s good and they answer, I need you to speak up and say ‘well...errr...that depends...on this or that...’ !!!! Don’t disappoint me bob!

Hi
We probably need to pick a location / time sooner rather than later. I spent a *lot* of time yesterday out of cell phone range.
=====
We leave Thor in the truck from time to time. The gotcha is that he's heavy enough / active enough to trigger the alarm(s) one the truck. After the fourth or fifth "honk honk honk honk" process during dinner, that can get a bit old

Ronnie... Hayden Valley just before dusk is the best bet in the park. Hope you get to see one (or more),
