My favorite among the commercial campgrounds near Yellowstone is the Yellowstone West KOA. They have plenty to interest children of all ages, and they have ready access to most of the tourism infomation one would want to access. The last time I stayed there, they even had reasonably priced delicious breakfasts.

You will find KOAs in both West Yellowstone and in Paradise Valley. Paradise Valley is the valley of the Yellowstone River north of Gardner.

We have stayed for years at Grizzly RV in West Yellowstone. It is not cheap, but is within walking distance of the town and is adjacent to and has ready access to National Forest land with marked hiking trails. The quality of the facilities at Grizzly RV is outstanding.

In Paradise Valley, we have also stayed many times at Yellowstone Edge RV park in Emigrant. It is along the bank of the Yellowstone River and offers excellent fishing in that river right on the property. They have some of the cleanest, nicest facilities you can imagine. The north entrance to Yellowstone Park is about 30 minutes drive to the south.
