Wooden Mushrooms!

If you're near Ruidoso New Mexico, you have to spend at least one night at Bonito Hollow RV Park. There is a resident artist who's work is sprinkled throughout the park -- and if you're lucky enough to sit and chat with him -- you'll hear stories of Joplin, Andy Warhol, the Stones ... and the list goes on. He's a true legend and the campground is an absolute treat too. Check out his wooden mushrooms -- no connection to the 60s and 70s which made him famous. Or is there?

... or the company he kept . Hey Ruidoso! Lovely mtn town, home of Smokey the Bear! Thanks for the tip on the campground, if we ever wander that way again, we'll check it out ... have a similar story of tree carvings outside Loveland, CO - I should dig those pictures out. Wendy

We were at Bonito Hollow park just a couple of weeks ago. We enjoyed it and the cool weather.
