I've been living in my 31' footer for over 3 months now. I can fully understand why someone would want a 34. Heck, now I want a 34. Having a dinette is a BIG plus. The fold out table is my computer desk, now. I have nowhere to eat, but at the computer desk, or outside at the picnic table.

A 34 with a slideout would be awesome!

You probably haven't been out looking lately. I was at the local RV show here in STL this spring and there were lots of travel trailers over 8'. Especially once you exceed 25'. My SOB I had 6 years ago was over 8'. I don't think its the exception it used to be. You would be surprised.

This was a big reason we went with the 30' Classic. We dealt with the fold out in the Safari, and there is nothing like having the full time dinette.

These are the only other travel trailers I've looked at:

Holiday Rambler Presidential Series - 98-1/2" w/semi-flush awning
Sunnybrook Titan Series - 96"
Nash/Artic Fox - 96"
Jayco Designer Series - 96"

Gee Moe ... only 4 examples? You need to post a minimum of 87 examples to prove your point. And they need to be notarized.

Yes, Moe... (with a dismissal wave of the hand...) you KNOW we Airstream Millionaires live in our own insular world. No, that's not true. There IS no world but the Airstream world! Other realities may exist, but they're of no importance! It really doesn't matter how many others have done something or for how long. You just KNOW that if Airstream didn't do it first, it must not have been significant until Airstream did it!!!

I'd have to agree with this one 110%. We love having the dinette. The nice thing about the Safari C is that you get the fulltime dinette and the couch! I could see the fold out getting boring pretty quick without a dinette!

I prefer the foldout table and more space elsewhere. A friend just bought the 30 Classic and he has the same small closet that I have in the 23. He takes months-long trips and is having to put a topper on his truck to make space for some clothes and make up for the tiny closet. He is a long-time Airstreamer and much prefers the foldout table, but his wife insisted on the dinette. She is singing a different tune after the first couple of trips.
