Where to stay close to Lake Arrowhead?

Hi Folks,

Happy New Year! I'm headed out to CA this summer to do an Artshow in Lake Arrowhead. I don't know the geography, but there appears to be no accomidations there and the two closest seem to be Big Bear (can I get my AS up there?) and Redlands. Is Redlands hopelessly dismal? Any recommendations or thoughts?

Hi there,

Unfortunately there is no camping in or around Lake Arrowhead. This is a private lake. There is how ever lots of camping in and around Big Bear Lake. Just 30 min from Arrowhead. I pull my AS up there ever 4th of July, we stay at Serrano camp ground that just off the lake real nice area. I hope this helps.

Also, Redlands is down in the valley, approx an hour away from the "Arrowbear" area.

2 Campgrounds

We lived in Lake Arrowhead a long time, there are two campgrounds - North Shore and Dogwood. If you are exhibiting at the Rotary Show at Tavern Bay - North Shore is closer. And yes, you can get any vehicle up to the mountain.

Redlands is about 40 minutes away, not a bad drive if you don't want to drive a trailer on the mountain. Big Bear is further away and there are many more curves to get there.

Good luck!
