Tickfaw State Park, Springfield, LA. This is a beautiful state park about 30 miles from Baton Route. Sites are nicely spaced, some have decks, the whole area is heavily wooded. I'm amazed how nice the state parks have been in the south. Illinois take note. It troubles me that Illinois politicians voted against charging going into their state parks. If this is what it takes to provide the type of parks we've visited in the south, then I say start charging. We know Illinois needs the money.

We may wake up at the North Abutment campground March 15 and Rivertown campground March 23, but today we are at home in our sticks and bricks-
We are already planning the "camping year"- when we leave one campground and go to another for this event or that event-
